Community Block Party

Pittsburg Public Library invites you to a Community Block Party on Thursday, June 1 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
The Block Party officially kicks off the 2023 Summer Reading Program: All Together Now, celebrating kindness, friendship, and community. In addition, the block party is the grand opening of the new library courtyard, which was funded through the PPL Foundation.
It’s an evening of fun for the entire family! Bring a lawn chair and enjoy live polka music courtesy of Johnny Zibert and George Barberich.
The SEK Princesses will be there to meet new friends.
Free face painting will be available for the kids.
Sign up for the All Together Now Summer Reading Programs. Kids and teens can pick up a welcome bag. Adults—grab your Bingo card and get ready to read.
You know about cakewalks but have you ever heard about a Bookwalk? Same concept but you might win a book rather than a cake.
Teens are invited to register for a sidewalk art competition—vote for your favorite during the block party.
No sign up or registration is required. This free event is open to our entire community.
