Since 1987, Library Card Sign-up Month has been held each September to mark the beginning of the school year. During the month, the American Library Association (ALA) and libraries unite in a national effort to ensure every child (and adult) signs up for their own library card. Pittsburg Public Library is pleased to partner with local schools to welcome back second grade students from our community. Classes will tour the library, enjoy a puppet show, get shiny new library cards, and check out books!
