The Annual Friends of the Pittsburg Public Library Book Sale will be held on Saturday, September 3 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Rain cancels the sale.
This year’s Book Sale includes books in several categories including mystery, fiction, romance, science fiction, horror, military, humor, pets and animals, hobby, how-to, travel, cookbooks, biographies, literature, vintage, and many more.
Proceeds from the book sale benefit the Friends of the Pittsburg Public Library, an organization that purchases library materials, and sponsors programs and special events throughout the year, including the Summer Reading Programs.
The Book Sale will be held outside in the Library’s courtyard and Bookmobile area. Library access will not be available during the sale.
The Pittsburg Public Library is closed for regular business from Saturday, September 3 through Monday, September 5. Shop for a great cause!
The Friends are now once again accepting donations of gently used books in two ways:
1. Multiple-box donations: Do you have more than one box to donate? Please drop them off at PPL from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month. One of our members will be present to assist you.
2. Single box donations: Do you have a small stack of books, or books that fit in one box? We’ll accept these donations at any time; please drop them off at PPL during business hours.
Books should be in good condition, without any water, smoke, or mold damage and with covers fully intact. Thank you for helping us help Pittsburg Public Library! Please call the Library is you have questions or need more information.
