Mindfulness is a way to focus on the present moment and avoid getting caught up in thoughts of the past or future. Mindful walking is a type of mindfulness meditation that can help improve mood, reduce stress, and improve focus. It can also help with anxiety, depression, heart health, and the immune system.
Join Pittsburg Public Library staff and our friends from PSU Library Services to learn more about mindful walking. April Lemon, CHC Behavioral Health, will facilitate the walk and help us learn to quiet ourselves.
The Mindfulness Walk will take place on Wednesday, June 12. Wear your comfortable shoes and meet us at PSU’s Gorilla Village at 6:30 p.m. For more information, please call the Adult Services Department at 620-230-5560.
Please note: In case of bad weather, the walk will take place on Thursday, June 13.
