According to NASA, Kanas is not in the direct path of the eclipse, however Kansans can expect to see the majority of the solar eclipse when it takes place on April 8. Join us for a Watch Party on Monday, April 8 from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m., with optimal viewing at 1:52 p.m. (to be exact). Eclipse glasses will be available to program participants, while supplies last. Join us in the Library’s Courtyard to view the eclipse. Cloudy or rainy? Checkout the NASA live stream of the eclipse showing in the meeting room. Special eclipse-themed refreshments will be provided. This free program is open to the public. No registration is required.
The Pittsburg Public Library has purchased a limited number solar eclipse glasses to distribute to the public and for those attending Library’s Solar Eclipse Watch Party. Solar Glasses will be available starting on Monday, April 1, 2024, while supplies last. Please observe the following guidelines:
