The library offers reading incentive programs for all ages—with fun prizes and giveaways.

Pittsburg Public Library is ready for adventure this summer!
Reading Program for Kids and Teens:
- The Kids and Teen Adventure Begins reading incentive program is open to readers and nonreaders from birth through age seventeen.
- Sign up in-person or online—anytime throughout the program.
- Tuesday, May 28 is the first day to count books.
- Saturday, July 27 is the last day to count books.
- All items checked out from the Pittsburg Public Library are eligible (except video games and movies).
- That means books, audiobooks, eBooks, magazines, graphic novels, and more all count towards prizes. Read what you enjoy!
- Win free swim passes to the Pittsburg Aquatic Center. Thank you to the City of Pittsburg and Pittsburg Parks & Recreation.
- Win tickets to the Treasure Hut to choose your own prizes!

Teen Program Information
Reading Program for Adults:
- Pack your book bag and join us for a reading adventure this summer!
- No sign up is required. Just pick up a Reading Log at the Library (or download below) and start reading! Or fill one out when you return your books—we try to make it easy!
- Read a book from each of the five categories on the map and write in the book title.
- Adult library books, e-books, and audiobooks checked out from the PPL are eligible.
- Once your journey is complete, turn in your Reading Log to the Reference Desk (second floor) to receive your very own Adventure Begins Book Bag!
- Reading logs turned in before August 2 will be eligible for a for the Grand Prize Drawing!
