Let us bring the Library to you! The Pittsburg Public Library offers both convenient Curbside Pick Up and Bookmobile Home Delivery for our patrons. Home delivery is limited to patrons living within the Pittsburg, KS city limits. Please call the library at (620) 231-8110 or fill out the form below to begin service. Who Can Use the Bookmobile Service?
How Much Does Bookmobile Delivery Cost?
Like all library services, bookmobile delivery is offered free of charge.
How Long Is Check-Out For Bookmobile Delivery?
All items are check out for four weeks.
Will You Bring the Materials Into My Home?
No. Bookmobile provides no contact door-to-door delivery. In most cases, our staff will leave a bag of materials at your door. Library staff will not enter homes or apartments under any circumstances.
Can I Return Library Books To The Bookmobile?
Yes, please indicate on the form or by phone that you have materials to return. A bag will be provided for returned materials.
How Was The Bookmobile Funded?
The PPL Bookmobile was funded through a generous bequest to the PPL Foundation from Donald and Marinell Webber, former Pittsburg residents.
How Do I Place An Order for Delivery?
Fill out the online form above and select Bookmobile delivery or call the library at (620) 231-8110.
How Often Will You Deliver To Me?
Delivery is available once a week, per address.
Curbside Pick-Up FAQ
What Is Curbside Service?
Simply call the library at (620) 231-8110 and request specific library materials or ask staff to choose your materials. You may also fill out the form above. Staff will contact you with a pick-up time. Look for designated Curbside Pick-Up spots clearly marked by signage along the east side of the building. PPL staff will deliver library materials to your vehicle.
Who Can Use Curbside Service?
All Pittsburg Public Library cardholders in good standing can use the service.
Are Items Placed On Hold Available For Pick-Up/Delivery?
Yes. If you have items on hold, our staff will contact you to arrange pick-up or delivery when the items become available.
